Description :
Latex primer-sealer for new interior surfaces. It can be applied on new gypsumboards, drywall joint compound or masonry.

Surfaces
New surfaces: drywall boards (conventional, water repellent or fire retardant), hardened and dry drywall compound, new dry plaster, concrete, brick, stucco or other masonries. New work only. Residences, commercial buildings, apartments, schools, hospitals, stations, and garages. Walls and ceilings of any room.
Systems recommandation according to surfaces
Gypsum board, dry joint cement or stucco:
• 1 coat: Sico Expert "0 VOC" latex primer-sealer 830-130;
• 2 coats: Sico Expert "0 VOC" latex interior top coats.
Concrete and masonry:
• 1 coat: Sico Expert "0 VOC" latex primer-sealer 830-130;
• 2 coats: Sico Expert "0 VOC" latex interior top coats.
Surface Preparation
Surfaces must be clean and dry.Remove dirt, dust, mildew, oil, wax, concrete curing agents and bond breakers, chalk,efflorescence, and other surface contamination.
Bare surfaces: Sand the grout surface and regularly remove the residue. Avoid sandingthe bare gypsum.
Concrete and masonry: New surfaces must age at least 28 days, be thoroughly dryand free of any efflorescence salts. Clean the concrete surfaces per ASTM StandardPractice D4258: Standard Practice for Surface Cleaning Concrete for Coating.
Vacuumcleaning, water cleaning, detergent water wash, power wash cleaning, steamcleaning, hand tool and mechanical cleaning are acceptable cleaning methods.Remove all surface contaminants by washing with an appropriate cleaner. Rinsethoroughly with water and allow to dry.Clean up carefully sanding residue.
Application Conditions
Temperature: 10 to 30°C (50 to 86°F)(ideal 20°C ± 5°C [68°F ± 9°F])
Relative humidity: Ideal between 15 and 55%,maximum 85%.Maintain these conditions during the applicationand the following 24 hours. Low temperature,high humidity, thick films or poor ventilationextend drying time.
Tools
• Paintbrush: Synthetic bristles (nylon, polyester)
• Roller: 10 mm (3/8 in.);
• *Spray (airless equipment)- Tip size: 0.015 to 0.021 in.;- Pressure: 1500 to 2000 psi.Always use top quality application tools.*Spray recommendations may vary from figureslisted depending on equipment manufacturer.
Cleaning Tools
Remove as much product quantity as possible andclean tools with lukewarm soapy waterimmediately after use.
Notes
Must be coated with a topcoat. This product is not to be mixed with other paints or thinners. Do not apply directly over steel, iron or other metals. Not formulated to be used on floors. Avoid using zinc sulphate solutions on plaster prior to applying this primer-sealer. Not intended for use on wood or previously painted surfaces.
