Description
Self-sealing interior latex paint used as primer and topcoat on walls and ceilings.
This product has outstanding performance at 4 wet mils thickness but can also be applied as a high build paint with a film up to up 12 wet mils, however, in this case, the recoat time is 24 hours.

New surfaces: drywall boards (conventional, water repellent or fire retardant), hardened and dry drywall compound, new dry plaster, concrete, brick, stucco or other masonries.
Previously painted surfaces in good condition and properly prepared.
Systems recommendation according to surfaces
Gypsum board, dry joint cement or stucco:
• No specific primer is required; this product can be used as a primer. For optimal results,
especially on very porous or absorptive repairs, it is recommended to apply a base coat : Sico
Expert 870-130, 870-177 or 870-799.
• 2 coats: Sico Expert 841-121.
Concrete or masonry:
• No specific primer is required; this product can be used as a primer. For optimal results,
especially on rough surfaces, it is recommended to apply a base coat : Sico Expert block filler
675-115 or 675-198.
• 2 coats: Sico Expert 841-121.
New or bare wood:
• 1 coat: Sico Expert 880-124.
• 2 coats: Sico Expert 841-121.
Non-rusted galvanized metal, aluminum or copper:
• 1 coat: Corrostop Ultra 635-045;
• 2 coats: Sico Expert 841-121.
Previously painted metal in good condition:
• Previously painted surfaces in good condition (latex): No primer is required.
• Previously painted surfaces in good condition (alkyd): Sico Expert primer 880-124 or 870-
177.
• Sico Expert 841-121, one or two coats as required.
Surface Preparation
Surfaces must be clean, solid, dry and free from dust, dirt, mildew, loose paint or all other contaminants.
This product is not intended for surfaces requiring frequent cleaning. Preferably use a glossier finish in rooms such as kitchens and bathrooms, as well as on trim and doors.
Can be tinted to obtain pastel shades (max. 3 ounces per 3.78 litres).
Do not apply directly over steel, iron or other metals.
Not formulated to be used on floors.
Do not mix with other paints or thinners.

Surface Preparation

- Bare surfaces: Sand the grout surface. Eliminate sanding dust, any dirt or contaminant.
- Painted surfaces: Clean with an appropriate cleaner for removing the contaminant. Rinse thoroughly with clear water and let dry completely.
- Remove mildew with a solution of household bleach (1 part household bleach to 3 parts of water). Wear rubber gloves and eye protection. Rinse thoroughly with clear water and let dry completely.
• Metal: Remove all loose rust. Treat with a metal conditioner and rust remover and apply a suitable system for metal. - Remove all loose or peeling paint and sand to smooth edges.
PRECAUTION: Dry sanding of dry coatings will give rise to dust and/or hazardous fumes. Wear suitable respiratory protective equipment. - Repair holes and cracks with joint compound suitable for the surface to be repaired.
- If wood exudes resin, scrape the excess and clean surface with alcohol or paint thinner. Sand to obtain a smooth finish. Eliminate sanding residues. Seal knots and sap streaks with shellac before applying the product.
- Cover or mask surfaces that are not to be painted.
- Although this paint does not require particular primer; for optimal results, especially on tough stains, it is recommended to apply a base coat.
Application conditions
Temperature: 10 to 32°C (50 to 90°F).
Relative humidity: Ideal between 15 and 55%, maximum 85%.
Maintain these conditions during the application and the following 24 hours. Low temperature, high humidity, thick films or poor ventilation extend drying time.
Tools :
• Paintbrush: Synthetic bristles (nylon, polyester).
• Roller:- Walls: 10 mm (3/8 in.);
- Ceilings: 13 mm (1/2 in.).
• * Spray (airless equipment)- Tip size: 0.015 to 0.019 in.;
- Pressure: 2000 psi.
Always use top quality application tools.
